The elastic cord that provides the best hold

The flat elastic cord is a braided elastic band composed of natural rubber and PP (900 Denier Polypropylene), offering high strength and superior stretch capacity. It is available in widths of 11, 16, and 22mm. These widths correspond respectively in tensile/return force to our round elastic cords of 6, 8, and 10mm diameter, with the additional possibility of being sewn onto supports. The thickness of this elastic cord is only 3mm.

Good abrasion resistance

Due to its wider contact surface with elements to which it is attached, the flat elastic cord may show faster wear compared to a round elastic cord: the flat elastic cord offers a larger friction surface when stressed. However, it provides better securing of objects and loads when used for cargo lashing.

Good UV resistance

Thanks to its 900 Denier polypropylene sheath and its natural rubber core treated with anti-UV agents, this flat elastic cord is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
